He has always said that any person with the proper realization and attitude is also Hip Hop themselves, the statement "I Am Hip Hop" is not exclusive. He is saying he is part of a force bigger than himself. In the song, Class of 87', he spits the line "Switching up my identity from Kool G to K-a-n-e." I would have liked to see Big Daddy Kane instead of Kanye... BUT, does anyone even remember when Kanye first came out, he was fire. I think because of his recent music endeavors, most of you are biased about him being on this track. While I do think he's the weakest link on this track, all of them had a good verse. The only reasoning i can think of that Kanye doesn't belong is that he hasn't been in the game too long. Though he is good rapper at core.
