Humans are some of the most vicious and vile creatures on the planet and the reasons for thihs are because we will willingly stab eachother in the back for personal gain. Or let our emotions trump our logic and establish states of opresstion on the basis that we might be helping those less fourtunet than us. the only reason communism is bad is cos human beings are truly ugly selfish and cruel at heart. it brings out the worst in people. on paper, its great and i would actually give up a little luxury if i knew that everyone had fair share of food and shelter and no homelessness but truth is that man is too simple and stupid to make it work.

Marxism IS thuggery. It establishes a dictatorship with total control of the individual's thoughts, words and actions. Anyone who is independent of the collective is killed or imprisoned or silence or else the whole thing falls apart. Anywhere communist experiments have been tried an unaccountable unelected single party dictatorship has been established and the only way it could maintain control was through a police terror aparatus. Socialism is suppose to take place in Capitalist, Industrial countries due to Marx's theory on Historical Devolpemnt, the resources it provides, and the majortiy of the people being Workers. Thats a factor for the failure of bring socialism to countries like the USSR, China, and Veitnam.

come to my college, see the posters on all the walls, listen to my teachers and tell me Marxism is dead. it is alive and well among some liberals. they say exactly what he says. but how can a man be free and have to do what is best for everyone else. in order for a man to get anything he must ask the community for their permission. this doesn't sound too free to me.

Marxism failed in Russia, China, North Korea, Cuba and Angola. Communism does not work it only leads to tyranny and oppression! Marxism died in 1989 when the Berlin Wall came down.

Hilarious, were did these privileged caste of bureacrats spring from, Stalin's Pandora's box? Stalin, Ordzhonikidze, Voroshilov, Kaganovich etc were long serving revolutionaries who spent years in exile as Bolsheviks and fought in the civil war. You claim that democratic structures were destroyed by Stalin but all partkoms were lead by partkom secretaries which were elected by the workers. I hope you realise that these so-called parasite's privileges amounted to less pay than Soviet scientists.

Stalin and his privileged caste of bureacrats were merely a parasite on the workers' state in Russia. They relied on the workers' state for their privileges. But this state consisted of the most democratic bodies ever known - soviets. When Stalin used bullshit and terror to take the healm, the soviet general secretaries were appointed by Stalin, rather than by workers and soldiers' deputies voted in, accountable and recallable to workers.
