Can you measure a 'day' in the bible, though? What time schedule were we on? Obviously not daylight savings, since that hadn't been invented yet. Who's to say that each 'day' in Genesis couldn't have been a period of millions of years? I personally believe that God directed evolution. People make the mistake of taking all of the bible too literally and loosing the real, basic principles of Christianity. It doesn't blind them- they blind themselves.

But were there feuding Gods, a nearly immortal man with only one weakpoint, & did Odysseus REALLY confront all those monsters on his way back home? Probably not. It's God will explains why. I want to know how, or else I'm going to conclude that one or more of those events never happened. This is why epistemology just doesn't work.
