The most disturbing thing I find is that people support its corrupt and oppressive government- its not even about ideology or anything else. Technology is not the same as energy. Nanotechnologies still require energy input. Nothing we've developed yet has as much energy density as well as portability of oil. In the documentary "The Power of Community" which Megan talked about, we see how Cubans survived the sudden withdrawal of oil from their country. It was survival not necessarily preference.

A good look is to take Geometry in 8th grade along with starting your 3 years of a foreign language in 6th if possible. (My school allowed me to start in 7th).
