I agree with the basic idea of your statement. But I will add, not all women are mothers; not all are maternal or feminine; and some women are extremely industrious. Same goes for men with maternal compassion or empathy. I do agree we need a balance between sensitivity and impulsivity if that is what you base feminine and masculine characters on. But, they don't come necessarily in female or male packages respectively. I do agree with Sally on that politics should be done by loving parents.

are you even remotely aware that as countries develop, their population stabilizes and since globalization has been taking place, countries (in South America, the Caribbean, Africa, and some in Asia) have slowed down their birth rates. Obviously there is a problem still(Turkey, India, Mexico) but population has slowed dramatically as a result of globalization. And I agree with lea210- when you say "breeding" you're making it sound very impersonal.

However, perhaps i worded that wrong, i meant publicized, belonging to the people. and perhaps it isn't Capitalism that's wrong, but aspects of the system that governs the world that need to be changed, which Paul i don't think opposes. I don't know how i came to watch this video but I am glad I did. I feel the same way you do. Here in America, we run into "hypocrites of Christ" everyday. People claim to be followers of a religion, yet they are the first ones to act in a way that their belief's prohibits them to. This incident was a great example of how we should all be able to help eachother out in times of need. Religion teaches tolerance, but of course only few are willing to practice it. I certainly admire John Cusack for making this movie, but I get the sense he is simply anti-Republican when in fact both parties endorsed this war and are deeply tied to the military industrial complex. He talks about privatization as if, in general, it is a bad thing, but what he is missing is a grasp of basic economics. No, you compared soldiers to firemen. Yes, they're very brave, but firemen usually are given protective gear and the money to fight fires. They also plan out how they're going to fight a fire, and they get to go home when they're done with work. They also get taken care of if they're injured. Soldiers don't have everything they need. They can't come home, they're being shot at 24/7,and we don't have the money to fund this war anymore so they're running around with not enough armor.
