I try and grab everything around the person the right click and select inverse that way now the selection of everything around her turns to selecting her specificaly then edit cut then paste her into the background and select the swimsuit in the same fashion.

I would definitely agree. While it may be easier to get into this technology for people that have never used computers or are older(like older parents, grandparents, immigrants), but for the classic mouse user many things would be harder virtually impossible like gaming. A RTS could be easily played on this, but not a FPS.

I agree; this is an important step in the right direction for "Human Interface Devices." I wouldn't say it's more complicated than a mouse by any means, but I also think it will be quite some time (if ever) before this technology will "replace" mice. There are plenty of things you can do with a mouse that you couldn't easily do with touch. (Gaming, for instance.)

Could he add texture to it? I mean it would be very difficult to control such things on the screen without the conventional sense of frictional touch on it. You will have to depend totally on your vision to determine whether you have "grab" a hold of things successfully, which puts a great burden on the eyes. You may went tired easily by over-burdening your visual centers of the brain too much.

I like this stuff a lot, I have had it on my iPhone for more than a year. It's not really "tech" though, it's just a technique of doing the same thing people have been doing for a long time. By the way, the keyboard isn't going to be killed by this kind of thing. Lack of feedback makes any on-screen keyboard useless for any serious typing.

By replacing computers, I meant replacing modern computers. Computers are defined by their interface, so therefore if it replaced modern computers, it would be replacing that input. Same way Apples replaced the computer (i.e. Microsoft Computer) by reinventing the input system.

man this is crap! live trace is NOT for that, its a VERY helpul tool, but will NOT do 100% your job, you'll need B/W images , and at high res, you need to do a couple of "tricks" in PShp, then with Illy, also there are plugins WAY better than "live trace" from illy, I use adobe from v.7 and really the illy history ends with ai.10 , the next ones are crap.

Hello, I'm trying to vectorize a sketch, but the lines should be as clean and sharp as possible. but when i do this with the live trace method, i come up with pretty, let's say rough lines. is there any way for me to get this result with the Live Trace method ? For those that do not know Director 8.5 came out rougly 4-5 years ago and was the first Adobe application to create online media with true 3d environments. An environment you could navigate through and truely interact with. This was hudge but they have done nothing with it untill now. They now have Acrobat 3d which CAD developers and 3 modellers can embedd their 3d objects into a PDF and allow users to rotate and see layers of the model. Chris is nowhere near knowing whats going on with Adobe.

Chris is always late! Flash Lite has been around for almost 2 years thats along time in Adobe years, its old technology. Its been available for Windows Mobile 5.0 for more than a year and is intigrated into windows mobile 6.0. Sliderocket- By far the best Air app that I have seen, but I know ebay and others are working this phenomenon as well. This will definitely be the technology that helps lead to web 3.0 That's my thought. Sliderocket is great because it allows businesses to conduct remote presentations without the video lags, etc. because the app is on our clients desktop. Check it out.

Ive been messing with Adobe Air and its Various Applications. I have been using Linux over the last several years and I have to say running in a Windows Vista SP1 environment on a Dell Inspiron 1525 Dual Core its pretty slick. I agree that the tool doesn't matter, however it's not more impressive just because he uses an outdated one; after all, the tools he uses still exist in PS CS3. But would you be impressed if it was done in that? No, because what we see here is people being more impressed by the artist using an outdated tool than the by art itself.

Forget the hype from programs such as PRO TOOLS, this program has everything you need; and with some elbow grease your quality comes out DIAMOND clear. I've been using this program constantly, it user friendly, inexpensive, and best of all: IT WORKS! I recommend this to any musician, of any genre. YES. fruity loops is mostly for synth.Its a little easier to use fruity loops but audition is much better. I usually use fruity loops to make beats and drum stuff or synth/tehcno stuff and then use the files from fl in audition with guitar,vocals and bass.
