What?! Bill Gates leveraged a somewhat accidental monopoly to make his billions selling an inferior operating system. The computer industry overall has been very good for the US, but every American has to work harder and longer to overcome the drag of Microsoft's monopoly.

Most of those who have gone overseas STILL receive tax breaks, so in essence, we the taxpayer, are paying them to take the jobs overseas. Simple I know...but burns me up.

The extremely wealthy should pay more taxes and more social programs should be given the extreme poor, but what happens is if you over tax them and corporations, they go to other countries. There should be a progressive tax system for the ultra rich where you pay a windfall tax based on what you've contibuted to society. If you're an actor and make a killing on a movie, your rate should be higher. If you started a company and employee many people, your tax rate should be less.

Um, most of the technology we have was created in universities using government grant money. Computers, lasers, medical, etc... The billionaires just take this technology that the people paid for and make lots of money from it.

Capitalism is still by far the best system for the country as a whole. If there were no billionaires there wouldn't be any jobs and no MEGA inventions. You wouldn't have your computer or Iphone. Yeah Bill Gates is rich but that is because he created the best product and company the world has ever seen. So...lucky him! =) He is also the biggest aid contributor in the world and he gives lots and lots of millions to fund American universities.

It is time for all American men to have some serious talks with their sons who are already in the US Gestapo. And it's time to pay attention to which of your neighbors are members of the police, National Guard, and other Federal Agencies. All citizens who have "registered weapons" and those who have at some time applied for hunting licenses or gun permits, should understand that they will be the first on the lists to be visited by Homeland Gestapo and their properties searched.

The Republicans true constituency is the floks to the right of the 99 yard but they get tons of dumb white people south of the 50 yard line to vote them in by calls to racial, gender, and religious intolerance. Karl Rove and his ilk are leading this country to an eventual reckoning that may be worse than the Great Depression.

Capitalism 101. Step 1. There is only one way to get rich, employ others, and pay them less than their output is worth. Step 2. Convince workers that providing them a job is a gift far superior to anything that they can produce. Step 3. Popularize the belief that attaining great wealth is noble pursuit. Step 4. Persuade workers that they too can be rich if they work very hard. Step 5. Mesmerize workers into borrowing money to buy as many trinkets as they dare. Step 6. Watch the money roll in!

I went to an Ivy League college where I encountered both the children of the wealthy and people from middle-class and even some poor students who had to work while at college and take out massive student loans. The rich kids mostly joined fraternities and sororities, they acted very spoiled, they would go around wasting their parents' money on stupid things, and a lot of them drank and smoked and many did illegal drugs. I knew these spoiled brats firsthand as my roommates and their friends.

Please, I have a difficult time understanding what you're suggesting. If a person has an annual income, then the rest _of what_ should go back into society? Besides, trying to read into what I think you are trying to say ... isn't that what taxation is for? And if the tax system as it is now is broken (loopholes for the rich bla bla bla), why don't we replace it with something that works?
