I miss videos like this. Where they were the embodiment of the song. Its seems mostly videos are a showcase so we can see one thing: the band, artist performing and probably looking sexy or glamourous. Don't even get me started with Hip-hop videos. I like to see videos as little movies. Gondry's stuff is great because its existential. Its also great when us as an audience are taken into the mind, thoughts, or feelings of the artist who wrote the song.

The instrumental part of this is from the album. The singing though is live, as far as I can tell. This is a fantastic old clip though. I think they sang to the instrumental portion of their songs from their albums a lot in those days. I heard it was because they had trouble reproducing live what was on the albums. I've seen the Moodies in concert more than 20 times beginning in Hartford, CT all the way to Portsmouth, England. They never disappoint. 'Tuesday Afternoon' is a benchmark of R & R songs. It deserves its rightful place in the Hall of Fame. Justin Hayward is a most under appreciated and recognized songwriter and guitar player in R & R I think.

Someone recently posted Melanie singing "What Wondrous Love" she did a beautiful job with that song on "Gather Me", but you need to hear this new version. Oh my God, it's downright horrible. The keyboard player received literally 50 love notes from girls in the audience. I handed he stack to him and he unceremoniously dumped them in the garbage without even skipping a beat.
