You make some excellent points. Thanks for sharing. One of my concerns is when will China say "enough is enough, no more loans". From my perspective, I imagine that giving additional loans to the US is a HIGH RISK investment. All indicators seem to point to the fact that we may not be able to pay them back. (Although, I guess the loan is collateralized) In any event, I'm trying to time my investment into the precious metal markets, and I like to hear intellegent viewpoints. Thaks again, Loq.

With other govts being the major purchasers of t-bills it is hard to judge the future of the $ by just the fundamentals. Should China or Japan dump their positions in the $ we would see a massive collapse of it. Such a thing would happen in a short period of time with no warning and the $ would drop like a stone. Then, hyperinflation could hit as well.

One writer said that the reason the dollar is rallying is the downward pressure on other currencies. The US rally has been mostly against the yen and Euro, two areas hard hit by the recession. Only time will tell. This market is hard to read, and we do know that there is manipulation of markets, e.g. the PPT. BTW I said hyperinflation if the $ ceases to be the world's reserve currency. Gold will react to that stimulus, as will the dollar.

There are conflicting opinions out there as to the reality of the gold situation. Some feel it's manipulated, but I read lewrockwell . com and some of his writers insist that gold is exactly where it should be. There is a lot of info on that site and mises . org for those with economic questions. We are deflating right now, plain and simple. The CPI has had the largest drop in one month since 1947, oil is cheap and gold is down.

It would seem Gold, and all precious metals for that matter, should be much higher than they are based on the idea that inflation is here. Apparently, we are on the brink of hyperinflation according to this poster, which I don't necessarily disagree with, but you would expect that precious metals would be up substantially. Of course, I think we all agree that inflation stats are being manipulated by the powers that be, but again, the market isn't reacting in lock step to the catalysts.

I'm just curious to hear his opinion, or anyone posting on this thread, for that matter. You obviously know more about this guy than me, I was just passing through. The point I wanted to touch on was the manipulation of the system. It seems that the markets aren't acting the way they should based on the catalysts of the current conditions. I suspect the dollar should be at a much lower value given the influx of money into the system with nothing to back it up. What about gold?

What concerns me is CHINA in the future. They are a powerhouse and will continue to gain strength. Australia has TONS of resources China would need. That's my ONE hesitation for moving to Australia and it's a BIG one hesitation. I'm still considering moving there. Half the family is living there already.

From what I have seen and read, the dollar is only on the rebound because businesses and investors have been selling assets to meet margin calls and pay debts. Basically there are a lot of movements in the markets that are temporarily strengthening the dollar as a result of the crisis, but in a few months this will change and the dollar will drop again. We are especially in trouble if, probably when, the world replaces the dollar as the reserve currency. Then hyperinflation is a given.

I have a question for you to tackle.... It's no secret that the United States has been printing massive amounts of money and expanding the money supply in an effort to combat the credit crisis. How is this not DEVALUING the US dollar? In fact, it has had the reverse effect. It went from historic lows in July to a relatively strong rating. How can this be? It seems to go against every economic theory that I've ever heard. I anxiously await your response.

I would recommend reading articles from Henry CK Liu, about the road to Hyperinflation. The way to look at this mess is first Deflation Bust then Inflation. Biggest anomaly is the level of 30 years rates, much too low. They will have to rise very significantly in order to counteract the deflation bust. S&P 500 Payout Tops Bond Yield, a First Since 58, this is very important to note as well!

However money that I want to save will go directly towards gold and silver coins. These are easily transportable, and you can hide them pretty well without having to put them in a bank. . Marc Faber says buy gold and silver with US dollars and store it in places like HongKong, Singapore, Dubai and Switzerland as the U.S Govt may nationalise all gold in the future. In the long term all currencies but especially the U.S dollar will go the way of the Zimbabwe dollar. Thus Gold and Silver are the best bet in the long term. Dont worry about the voice and video sync. I think most folks can make out what you are trying to say. One suggestion. You might want to consider doing a video and give links to the right of other youtubers who you enjoy watching that doe videos along the same lines as yourself. That might be helpful to get some folks started. Sometimes it's hard to find the right folks on here who are actually giveing good, accurate info.
