I adored my Dreamcast- my very first console I bought for myself, with a light gun- arcade perfect House of the Dead 2, Soul Calibur, Metropolis Street Racer (which I loved more than Project Gothams) and talking to my then girlfriend in Spain via the first console ever to be online. I have my sega genesis, sega cd, sega saturn & my sega dreamcast all in superb condition. My Genesis is the 2nd version with a light mod. I've spent alot of money buying games on ebay & in the fleamarkets. Mainly because I buy rare games as opposed to common games. Strategy guides are even more difficult to acquire depending on the title. Long live sega!!!!!

ur right man. I still have my Dreamcast I bought back in 2001 (only because Gamestop wouldn't buy mine anymore). Itz in perfect condition and i still play it. In my opinion, the Dreamcast was better than PS2 and even better than PS3! That system was ahead of itz time and cud be considered revolutionary even today.

yeah but the PS2 had playback compability and could also play ps1 games, not to mention it had more great games than the dreamcast and was the cheapest DVD player back then, just like right now with the PS3, its the cheapest bluray player at the time, its game library already caught up with the 360, while 360 its more than halfway of its fuel burned, when big games come later on, ps3 will have the the biggest advantage, considering the bluray is 50GB and 360 disk is only 9GB

There were a few good games on sega CD. The only 4 I can think of were; Sonic CD (duh), Dark Wizard, Lunar: Eternal Blue, Lunar: The Silver Star. Other than those though, it was almost all unplayable garbage.

I had a Sega CD 2nd gen model, that had the Genesis built into it. Really odd system in that it ran off DC power. Yea, I had Sonic CD, Ecco CD, Pugsy, and Tomcat Fighter Plane, among others. Never had any of the infamous "FMV" dragon's lair-style games. Yknow Kingdom Hearts 2's constant use of "action button" opportunity commands totally reminds me of the ol' FMV-type stuff....

Panzer Dragoon and Knights(sp?) were set up on a display at my local Blockbuster many years ago, as well as Mario 64 and Crash Bandacoot. i admit it was ultimatly a dumb move on his part. but to be fair to him he was playing it safe, after all, not many RPGs made it out of Japan back in the Mega Drive/SNES days, they werent considerd mainstream really (only 3 of the 6 final fantasies came to the US, none to Europe before FF7) why spend money translating a huge game that might not sell so he may have been acting out of experience. and he supposidly has a lot of it since he started at Atari back in the 70s

You are correct, I understand the point you are trying to make. however Sega's early surprise launch backfired and many of the games orignially promised to be avalible at launch weren't, with the exception of those mentioned in your posts above. Sigh The point is you said you guys mentioned there were "no killer launch titles for the Saturn" (about 1:20), only to then say "lets talk about some of the big titles that came out for Saturn AFTER the system was released" (1:25). You go on to mention Virtua Fighter, Daytona USA, and also Panzer Dragoon among these great tiles released after the system came out, when in fact, ALL 3 of those were launch titles, and the system itself was bundled with Virtua Fighter at launch. Look it up.

You both are very correct. However, when I correct DB, I never stated that Sonic was a launch game for the genesis, only that both kicked ass on the Genesis. In our actual Genesis video we discuss how Sonic came after the Genesis launch and replaced Alex Kidd as the new Sega Mascot. ~Gooch

Well I guess the problem with me is, in my mind, I'm comparing Nights to Super Mario 64. Both games came out at around the same time. I bought an N64 on launch day and was thoroughly blown away by Mario 64. I never got around to getting a Saturn until something like 2003, so it was never a special system to me. This is a run through Sega Rally in a Lancia Delta Integrale - from loading up the game to completing the bonus stage in just 8 minutes. I tried to do this over and over for many hours, but I STILL couldn't win the final stage. In all the years I've had the game, I've only won it once before. Anyway, this is one of the best driving games on the Sega Saturn, despite it having a short life-span!

The handling on this game has yet to be matched by any other driving game IMHO. No driving game feels as natural as Sega Rally. Me and my brother used spend hours challenging each other's time attack records. At the time the INFERIOR Ridge Racer was out on Playstation (until Gran Turismo, I hated PS1), never have I hated a game so much compared to the fantastic Sega Rally.
