This genre of music, if it represents a trend, can bring a new generation of music lovers to the symphony halls. It is nice to see Hisaishi's music making inroads into the symphony in general. It is my hope to interest symphony orchestras in the US to partake in this phenomena and grow their audiences for a stable, secure existence throought the 21st century.

if aint broken, why fix it? 70's soul/funk/r&b is great, jamiroquai cuts out the cheesy elements and gets right down to it. i would urge you to check out their older cd's..try and tell me some of that stuff isn't a brilliant new twist on old school flavor.

I agree that he uses snippets of older music and classic horn riffs, but I differ w/the "music is not unique". Everything tonal has been done. It's just a matter of how one uses the tools of music to create something different--even if it has overtones of generations past. Who do we have in the states that does anything like this NOW? I'm from the states and have in the last couple of months have been updating and researching the last 10+ years of Jamirquai (Jay Kay-since he primarily writes and directs the band's direction) and have become SO into his style as an artist and performer and the way he presents himself to media etc. I think he has a longevity to his music that is constantly evolving and I just hope he takes care of mind, body and spirit enough to continue on what could be an even longer musical career.

lolz...of course u r wrong...stretch marks are from the baby growing, stretching ur skin...there's nothing to do with the baby scratching ur stomach. Dont forget the baby is in ur womb, not ur stomach. To prevent stretch marks, use lotion or baby oil EVERY DAY, not whenever the baby is moving :)

I think the reason why pregnant women have stretch marks is because they scratch their stomachs. I say use lotion or baby oil every time it happens. Never scratch. I believe it would help. I'm not sure though. I might be wrong but I've been getting that a lot from pregnant women.
