I remember watching this as it was happening. I was screaming at the screen, "Don't touch her! Don't touch her!" If the officials had helped her, she'd be disqualified. This woman held up the true Olympic spirit when her body was beyond giving up with exhaustion. She came in last, but she won something better than any medal. Goddess bless her.

Just incredible to see these folk music legends all on one stage together singing this song that stands the test of time. Judy, Eric, Tom & Arlo all started their careers in the early to mid 60's & still recording or performing after all these years! I started listening to folk music at 16 & 17 years old as this music was so meaningful to me. Actually, you are partly correct. Andersen has indeed sung it for Phil since his death in '76, although it was written in the early 60's. Ochs loved the tune and encouraged Eric to finish and record it.
