Freaking beautiful... I bought the record when it came out. I have loved Cocteau Twins once I listened to them in the right condition. When I first heard them I was too indoctrinated with popular music and Liz's sound was too much for me... But listening to Treasure in 1988 on something with initials broke my barriers and I have never looked back... Wonderful to see all the fans on youtube...

It's a well shot video. From your comment i get the impression you don't like the song much, which is a shame since it is a good un. A love of the song would show in the video. Thats not true - the knoll is still slated for destruction. This is the same protest that began back in september. We are protesting against the bus loop plan, the plan to destroy UBC Farm, and the plan to cut down the south campus forests. The developers on the UBC BoG are also involved in the social cleansing and gentrification characterizing the real estate land grabs in the DTES. Our cause in in solidarity with the greater context of province-wide injustices.

I love how most of the attention this video gets is due to the protest-fire-police thing... I should point out one rather ironic thing about the continuation of this protest (the video is from autumn and predates the irony): The removal of the knoll has been removed from the plan. KnollAide worked the first time. They then cleaned up the area and proceeded to continue the construction in the parking lot (which has looked like shit for years). To the current protesters: what do you want?

The problem is not that people are ignorant, but rather that the vast majority of students are either neutral on the issue or hold trek park with a bit of distain. The pile of dirt leftover from decades-ago construction has about as much reason to be saved as the bus loop has to be stopped. The current loop was only ever intended as a "temporary" fix. Remember, the underground loop can always be expanded in future when funds permit.

davesmunroe - the whole problem is that the bus loop will NOT allow more students to take public transit. The current plans are very poorly thought out and actually decrease the current bus capacity at a cost of $40 Million. We would support an underground development if the UBC community were fairly consulted and approved it, but this is not the case. Please don't distort information to make your point.

Absolutely agreed. Every day that we spend working on signs or sod or trees, some bunch of drunken frat boys or whoever comes along and trashes them. It seems like it's easier for them to sabotage us then to put in THEIR effort to join us. Kerrisdale90210 - most of our money goes to tuition and living expenses and we're not all wealthy. As for effort, there has been an incredible amount of effort put into maintaining and building trek park (which is obvious if you look at the geodesic dome and the grass and posters that are there now) However, the park is constantly being sabotaged and destroyed by the same people who complain about its appearance. Why don't the students who are criticizing the park help make it better?

From someone who was at the UCB Peoples Park demonstrations I would like to suggest that Trek Park be made into a decent looking park that any student would be proud of defending even if it costs money to bring in professional landscapers and heavy equipment...get the picture? i remember this was one of the first videos they posted on their website back in '95, recorded at the DV8 in Seattle for the M&K tour. Not all of their songs work as well live as they do on the albums, but BBK is NOT one of them; a truly powerful song live, I LOVE Robin's guitar on the 2nd half of this video, it just wails and pierces your soul in a shrieking etheral crescendo, absolutely makes me my skin tingle.

but isnt that the case with quite a few bands with their live performances? im one of the younger generation who havent seen the Cocteau Twins before. ive seen lots of bands multiple times and their live performances are not always amazing. ive seen some bands play awful gigs, ive seen that same band do average gigs and also some mind-blowingly amazing gigs. i think its just the nature of live music. the performers cant always be 'in the right mood' over a 20 date tour.

Hi, As mentioned before seen them Glasgow 1982 for the first time and 10 times more. Hate to admit it, but I agree with you. The second gig in Edinburgh Assembly rooms was the best by far (unusual version of Sugar Hiccup( never my favourite) was incredible)but it usually was a lottery:- voice wise. I would not say that one band was better than the other. They are two different styles. The purose of college marching bands is to entertain a crowd not to win competitions, and SC State is more entertaining than USC and they can freakin dance, I really enjoyed their show when the came to Williams Brice. However I don't think there is any question that there is better musicianship in USC's program, we have a better sound, and a good portion of our marching band is composed of music majors.

Ok Duke. If you think that SCSU's band is better then either a.) you know nothing about marching band, or b.) you go to SCSU. Yes, I agree that State did a great job, but you have to realize the drill that they do before they go to their "concert formation" is the same drill that they have been doing since last year. I mean if we had the same drill for 2 years, then we would be perfect also. And our worst player, is about 10x as good as States best!!

What happened to peaceful protesters at UBC on April 4th is also horrible. The police used violence instead of talking, just as they did in the homocide of Robert Dziekanski. And police did use tasers that night. Several students reported police training the laser sites on them after they were handcuffed laying on the ground. There is photo evidence of this. With the RCMP's tendency toward violence instead of peaceful resolution we are fortunate no one was killed.

I still say that this is a load of BULLSHIT!!!! I have the exact same kind of rifle that Oswald used, it is a worthless piece of crap. The loading mechanism jams every time you try to close the bolt. there is just no way he pulled off 3 shots in under 5 seconds with that POS Rifle.

when a head is shot in the front, the bullet rather easily finds it way through the skull with little pressure compared to when it comes out the other side pushing brain matter out like a rocket. therefor, a head shot in the front moves forward, and head shot in the back moves backward. I'm not sure what you're saying is the truth but that is what happens and what happened.

many people remember CT. Many people have no idea who they are. Thanks to this remix which has been getting a lot of play, many new people (such as myself) have found CT. This mix is great. Sure it could be made a little more trancier, but it is still good. I know some of you think its an abomination. But just calm down. This takes more than 1 listen. And if you're not convinced then stick to the original. That said, It would love to see another remix of this.

damn, you're receiving a lot of hate for this one, my man. i've been a fan of CT the very instant i heard them and so i feel compelled to give you an honest opinion (go figure) about this remix. i think it's obvious that any fan would prefer the original over this mix but it really ain't that bad. just know that when you play with the work of the cocteau twins, you play with something many fans consider nothing less than sacred. if it means anything, i still respect your sound, though.
