Uploading files requires some web hosting space... When you purchase a domain, you're only registering the URL. So, the domain does not give you ANY more web hosting capabilities than Blogger already gives, of its own accord. It's like registering your house address at the post office. You still need to purchase land area to OWN some space. :)

Be careful if you want to switch to custom domain. Many are having problems. If you got the famous "Another blog is already hosted at this address", then you are in trouble because this is a bug and there is nothing you can do and nothing they will do. There are workarounds that work for some, but only for some. Better check their help group first before you switch to custom domain, although most posts are never answered

I agree and (respectfully) disagree. Here's why: you know a white object when you see it, whereas telling when an object is 18% gray is tough. If you already have a 18% gray card for metering, by all means use it and see if you prefer the result. When you don't have a gray card handy, white will do just fine - just make sure your reference photo isn't overexposed. But to each his own! At a certain point we're talking about finding your own style and consistently reproducing the colors in it.

The shooting mode doesn't matter at all. You have to go into the menu and select CWB (custom white balance). Do that, follow the video instructions, and you ought to be golden. The camera's white balance is only ever "wrong" relative to its specific shooting conditions. The white balance is entirely customizable, and is really just a temperature in Kelvin, not any kind of hard-wired setting.

I'm still confused over the white balance. If the camera's white balance is wrong wouldn't it still register wrong when you try to set the WB? What mode do you use to set it in? I saw that it was AV, but if I plan on shooting in Manual do I shoot in AV first? When I use white paper outside around noon, the photos come out tinted with blue. I've heard about using a gray card, is that better than white paper? White balance is the only thing I'm struggling with right now. Thanks for any help.

very helpful but can be a bit tricky an time consuming if you have shallow sunlight, haze, drifting clouds, Hi UV etc, but Godd if you have a clear blue sky and your subject will not move from where you have set that white balance. Good video. Thanks for sharing.

no, the speakers make absolutely no difference in the volume of the amplifier. the head is what supplies the wattage and volume. technically, a combo is a head built into a speaker cabinet. theres different speakers with higher and lower wattage ratings, but all that does is increase or decrease the headroom before the speakers distort.

You can paint on leather but Dye works a lot better. Tandy is usually the place to get stuff like that but places that supply shoe repair stuff sell leather dye as well. As for the colors I like, it really depends on what it is the project requires. The stuff I wear is always black unless it's carved artwork an then it depends on what the artwork requires.

I had my doubts with this at first, but at then end I realised what you were looking to achieve and it looked pretty good. Nice build. I make them all the time and I will never use fleece again. The cloth doesn't wet out with resin very well and the strength to weight is horrible. Not to mention the cost of all the resin the fleece soaks up. Try using a really thin stretchy first layer of cloth to get your shape and then woven fiberglass closs for three or four layers over that. You will avoid the need for body filler all together.

I like this video. It would be really neat if you did more pictures with labels. Or showed some of the applying the resin and glass... Im making one of my own.. i really have no fiberglass experience. Check out my video. I got a feeling it will be very nice in the end.

Fleece provides no strength. Just the shape to glass over. I don't even use fleece most of the time. I use a fiberglass cloth for the initial layer and chopped matt on the inside once the first layup dries. I don't do drastic shapes with this method...but it's stronger and no added weight from resin/fleece combo.

Here is my first really big project.(before I build my real dune buggy)
Its a custom build twin engine monster truck, totally made from the highest quality 7075 aluminum. powered by two XTM 24-7 pro engines (over 2,5 hp each). The acceleration is sick as you can see in this video. I built it 2003-2004 when I was 16 years old. Total cost 30 000 SEK or $4000
