No matter what his "crime" this can only be described as abuse of power. I could not see if the person on the floor was giving active resistance to arrest rather than passive resistance, for which the police have non-lethal and tried and true methods to deal with. Obviously there was enough law enforcement to arrest and detain without first using incapacitating force and then giving "lawful orders" to justify further abuse.

If it had been a black teacher, the kids would have just listened and been fine with it. Furthermore, I believe that that boy has used that word at least ten times a day. I live in NYC and I hear that word a lot. If a white man says it, he gets sent to diversity meetings and is labeled as "racist." If a black man says is, the response is, "Shutup n**ga!" I'm black and i must say it was wrong for the teacher to say it but it's obvious he had no clue it was offensive.He was merely trying to interact with his students/trying to fit in. Matt it's great to see an evangelical voter supporting Obama. I went to a private Christian highschool and it was overwhelmingly filled with Republican supporters and I was the only Democrat and now I can't even have a discussion with my friends from highschoo because the ones that are interested in discussing the election are Republican and support McCain and just tell me that I'm all wrong. Abortion isn't the most important issue and I like to see an evangelical that isn't focused on it.

That thing looks fucking badass. If I had built that myself, I'd be so proud, just looking at it would make me intensely happy. I'd drive that thing around all day. I wonder how it does off road on paintball scenario courses. It would need good traction when driving over bumps, stumps, rocks, tree trunks, small holes, muddy areas. Looks like it would work well on normal trails, I'm sure this kid can re-vamp it so its off road capabilities are heightened. Amazing.
