Wow thats very sad - I'm sorry for your loss. I always thought this song was about the last rights. So everyone I know that lost someone to suicide is so deeply affected - more so than a death of another type. I could not imagine being left with those feelings. I know it is considered a great sin but if you are that depressed how could you be held accountable? Obviously not a good thing to attempt but I can think of worse sins.

More thoughts: the 1st verse sounds like they are in it together for good, they'll hold strong no matter what. He loved her, she loved him, it was a nice story. He made her feel so wonderful. The 2nd verse means they were living separate lives. He's off doing other stuff and they are growing apart but they still love each other. In the 3rd, she hates herself for breaking it off but is grateful for her new freedom and has no regrets for the relationship that made her feel like gold.

I think the song shows a progression of how she felt towards him (she felt like gold being his silver lining, they were very happy) and how he expressed what she meant to him (you're my silver lining) but then after the instrumental, the last verse says to me that she up and left him because her feelings changed towards him... The lyrics starting with "and I was your silver lining" takes on a whole different meaning after this 3rd verse.

First off, a silver jacketed, lead core bullet uses less expensive resources, As only the covering of the projectile is made of silver. Gold core, a very expensive option, would be better for the environment. Bullets can be recovered and metal reused. No loss=no waste. Fair comment. He has great ideas but his voice kind of wanders in and out of tune, which undermines some of the tight vocal melodies required by this piece. But that's a small price to pay for how utterly post apocalyptic the song's opening vocals are

Thank you for your video. I had seen this demonstration at a show once where the vendor was selling a kit with a piece of aluminum to make the reacation with the water and baking soda. You saved me money and clutter. I used a pyrex dish lined with aluminum foil. The results speak for itself. Thanks again.
