He must have meant that those nations are either selling alot of their Oil reservers to raise money to pay for the wortless bonds in their books; or they have reduced their big purchase on Oil in other to re-direct money to pay for these poison assets. Either way you look at it, the supply of Oil is greater than its current demand, hence the price is crashing....The Saudis recently reduced their output, but the supply still out-weighs the demand and the price will keep going south.

I was watching Fox this morning where a couple of Cavuto's guests were arguing passionately for more bailouts, more money for the banks and auto makers and everyone else with a failed business that has political pull. Neil and Ben Stein were really going at it and talking over each other. The long term trend of US is down (for obvious reasons) until they get there house in order. Steer clear of the GLD and SLV etf's - numerous financial gurus with much more time than us to research it have serious doubts whether they are holding the physical bullion and more insidiously, they are likely using it to short-sell the market, so in essence, the holdings of the ETFs (who are held by just 1-2 big banks) are being used to further suppress the metals prices; as well as there is no guarantee they will be there if the big banks go down.

physical coins or bullion bars are always better, but it simply HAS to be 'real' somewhere down the line... gold stocks, shares etc are too volatile right now IMO as it could turn into another bubble on paper thats backed by nothing real. I would say until there's stability again (if ever in this cycle) stick to the real thing & stick it in a secure storage (preferably where nobody has access to it except the keyholder & definitely nowhere where THEY can speculate with your gold.

It also depends what currency you live with... Sterling, Euros etc won't see the same price increase in THEIR currencies neccessarily, unless they're up to their eyeballs in dollars (unlikely right now). Hi Folks, Im in Sydney Australia. There are 2 major sources of Bullion here. Perth M int being the largest. Australian Bullion Company is the other. AJ Matthey closed its doors. I order silver bars 2mths ago. 6 weeks delivery delay. I called yesterday, its now a 14 week delay. Gold seems no problem though from either dealer

Gold limit is $75 initially, followed by a brief trading halt. Then I don't know. Often in futures there is no limit for contracts trading in their delivery period. I read somewhere (so take this with a grain of salt) that COMEX has a limit on the number of silver contracts that can be delivered in any month. Somewhere around 650. If true, all those longs standing for delivery next month may find themselves waiting for January and beyond. And COMEX would quickly become an irrelevant exchange.

I Hear the Perth Mint is ALREADY having big problems with people demanding their metal from them. I have read SEVERAL reports of people unable to get their Metal from the Perth Mint! So you have to wonder if the Perth Mint is ALSO SHORT of Metal (just like damb near every Bank/Government/Fund on the planet!).
