They should have used two identical motherboards, one with IB turned on, and one with IB turned off. but it doesn't matter because it's just standby anyay.

its not BS its similar to what laptops use (sleep or hibernate) but the difference is the system is completely shut off! not a fan, hard drive or anything running. it almost takes longer for my hard drive to spin up than it takes for it to boot. hit the button, hard drive spins up, 3 or 4 seconds later im fully in windows. its a little buggy on some things but overall i hope they incorporate this into the next version of windows or something. it still restarts like normal tho

This Instant Boot software is BS, you can make any machine load up in a blink of an eye, it's called putting your system to "sleep" instead of shutting down completely!!! I have an AsRock mobo and what makes this even worse is that my board is supposed to support this Instant Boot thing, but when I install it, and then goto shutdown it sticks on the AsRock Instant Boot screen, and doesn't do anything! I will just continue to use the Sleep function of Vista as it does the same thing pretty much!

I am a proud owner of an ASRock mobo (A780GXE). This is one of the simplest features I've seen with a motherboard... all it does is reboots the PC, and puts it in S3 Sleep(Fast) or S4 Hibernate(Slow) once it boots. I like it because I can hit my power button, go to work, and come back home to a fresh boot in a matter of seconds.

I use my PC every day for most of the day, I almost never turn my PC off either because I dont want to wait for it to shut down and then boot up in the morning. so it's not all bs. Plus it just makes life a tad easier if you walk away for awhile.

I think that "Fast mode" is ye olde STR (Suspend to RAM) and "Normal mode" is the Hibernate feature in Windows. So how is that different? Please let me know ASRock

First mobo i bought was Acorp. Worked ok. Then upgraded to an expensive Gigabyte. It failed, had to RMA it, sold the brand new replaced one. Then i bought Abit NF7S-v2.0, very strong motherboard, works even today. After that i had another Abit, based on intel, IC7-Max3. This one works today too, powering a mail server. Currently i'm on AsRock 4Core-Dual Sata2 at home, working well and overclocking good. Probably untill this Christmas gonna have the P45TS also from AsRock.

lmao you guys believe this guy...he works for asrock.....ha ha and now you think gigabyte sucks...the asrock has ddr3 in it...vs the gigabyte with ddr2...this dosnt prove asrock is better...try running that shitty asrock above a 500mhz fsb...my gigabyte ep45-ud3r was $115 and it runs my 3ghz E8400 at 4.45ghz 24/7 on 1.344 vcore...hey go buy an asrock if you want to...as long you dont really think its better than a gigabyte

Assrock is cheaper but Gigabyte is more durable and higher quality. Besides anyone who has the money for expensive ddr3 memory wouldn't buy a cheap ass assrock board. And btw does Assrock have all solid state capacitors like Gigabyte has?

I have an internet cafe and I assembled all my pc units. I've tried many different mobo brands: Asus, Intel, ECS, Jetway, Gigabyte and many others but the best mobo that never failed me is AsRock. When I first bought it, I thought that I had only chosen it for its low cost but boy am glad it served me well and it exceeded beyond my expectations. It's by far the most reliable, highly recommended mobo in the market today. Thank you AsRock! I want to try the newer models soon!

useful comparison, why should you pay more and get less while you can pay less and get much more ! ddr 3 has no analogue on other brands at the same chipset .so they stand far behind when it comes to performance and gaming ,compared to Asrock ,sure it is the smarter choice for performance enthusiastics and gamers

I'm too lazy to check, but I'll bet gigabyte has a p45 mobo with ddr3 support, that probably gets a higher mark, but I'm not against asrock. I'm running an asrock mobo myself, and am very pleased with the performance.
