Intraspecific agression is disadvantageous. but being able to fight is not, if it preserves the advantages of certain psychological traits. That's right. Intraspecific aggression as true violence is evolutionarily disadvantageous. A real fight is far too costly to both parties because even victory can result in life threatening injuries. Read the previous post about "fights" and their is plenty of research on this subject.
