it would be such a better place if people could lighten up and step besides themselves to laugh a little during those times in which we all are cramped up like sardines - like in a jet. Air travel can be stressful enough as it is... and laughter and sincere attempts at making it a fun experience can and do go a long way towards arriving in a better mood. Go Southwest!

Good point, Internationals R more 'controlled' in what they say. Real pity is, if U asked me 5yrs ago what's the best International carrier I'd say QANTAS without a doubt, but now they R expensive, service average, lounges average & losing ground to Asian carriers into OZ. I fly mostly Singapore or Air China now, I can't afford Qantas, why pay more 4 less.

Thank you templemain, Airlines such as Virgin Blue, JetStar (low cost airlines); Can and would usually do this, its passengers are of its own (same country passengers), which don't mind a bit of a laugh. Dear boeing180, a point that should be given consideration granted, but here in OZ Virgin Blue do it all the time and Qantas is still the prim & proper Std airlines procedure ONLY. Well, I wouldn't necessarily read into it THAT deeply, but there are a lot of quirky people with strange mannerisms in that area of the country (and many others) and I think the guys who made and wrote Napoleon Dynamite were just trying to create funny characters.
