I would also like to question why it is so easy to spend millions of dollars to higher security instead of putting forth an effort to help these people desperate enough to rely on pirating to make a living.

India's Navy just took out a pirate mother ship and two chase boats around the Gulf of Aden, so at least somebody started shooting.

The international community need to get their finger out of their ass and police the oceans and kill these pirates. The Royal Navy defeated piracy in the past and the US Navy and other navies need to do the same again.
