good video. i witnessed this as a tourist. Crazy awesome shit.. I tried surfing when i was a tourist down there. My wife did better cause she was lighter and the waves were small. It's like golf in a way. Gotta try it to appreciate it. I wish i were these guys. I tried it once and I was hooked. Wish I lived there. I can ski though.

We look at it differently, the waves changed in the South Bay over the years that's a fact. My statement is based on a knowledgeable history that can't be fixed by "opening my mind". This video sucks. Closed out shit. The waves in the South have gone down the drain. The Lursens are and have always been from Carson. There's no regulating in the South Bay because the surf scene is DEAD. Only a crew from Carson would want to act like they own it. Sorry it's the truth. I know more about the history of that wave than any little sponger on this page.

yes. turtles are everywhere. they were on the endangered species list at one time but now are back in great numbers so they took them off the endangered species list and are only federally protected which calls for a fine of over 10,000.00 USD for any touching or harassing. aloha & mahalo for your interest.

Ever had Brain Freeze? "Ice Cream Headache" Cold water makes your muscles tenser than you thought they could get. The wetsuits are extremely restricting at 4/5/6 mil. Long hold downs take your breath away in the worst way compared to 78 degree wipeouts IMO.

This spot is nuts! My friend & I surfed there on a day that was about 5 feet "Hawaiian size scale" & all I had was a 6'2. My friend had a 6'3. We were out for about 4 hours & only caught 3 waves each. Just constant paddling.If you plan to surf there on a day like that, you better have a 6'8 or 7'2 or your gonna get an ass whoop'n.

yeah true, but some of the injuries from surfing are different... like ive sliced my hand and it was so cold i didnt know i was bleeding... or theres the more long term issues like the torn muscle between most of my ribs from getting caught inside too many times. i can deal with this stuff tho surfing is the best sport in the world, then bodyboarding, then bodysurfing. you gotta love them all
