As an influence? End of money the recordings...THE BEALTES! That shows how they like them to include them in their records. All the special effects the beatles included on their albums, they were the first to do that. Pink Floyd used that so much too. It sounds alot like them too, the great vocals, and wide variety of sound and instruments. I'm mainly talking about the recording techniques, so far as musically talented they are very different. I don't know. This was a pretty good performance, and The Who was pretty phenomenal at the Concert for New York. I know there's a good chance they'll never be as dynamic, creative, or exciting as they were during the 60s and 70s, but I still hope they never stop playing because I still love The Who.

I've seen them live 3 times and even though they have great songs on their albums, they don't perform at all well live. His voice completely goes and there is no band cohesion. It's a shame.

I've seen them live and they are amazing. Live 8 was bad in that it rushed bands and if you knew Gary you'd know he gets hugely nervous at small gigs nevermind Hyde Park!!

they really sound awful live, mediocre would be a complement. i've heard local "jam bands" that sound better. i still like their albums, but you can easily tell how much they do on their own and how much is "studio magic".
