It's not uncommon to hear shitty vocals from the Floyd playing live. Can't be perfect all the time, you know? Sometimes you're just not into it and your mind is elsewhere. When they were into it, you could the feel the magic that is the Floyd gushing out of their Hiwatt amplifiers, WEM speaker cabinets, and quadraphonic PA system. Plus, this is the 80s. I love 311 and have been a fan for over 10 years and I'm only 22 :) I have seen them 6 times... most recently at Rothbury Music Festival.. where I finally caught a drum head outta the air. It seems like the only way to see 311 play any songs besides greatest hits is maybe 3-11 day. Anyone else wish that they would play old school B-Sides more often? Peace :)

dude, i think this song is sad, you all realize it is about a friend of nicks that killed himself right, now granted it gives hope to those who are struggling,(i think that is what they were going for), the lyrics read "I cant believe you didn't call, wasn't there something i should have done, to help you see beyond the grey sky". I really don't think it matters who plays bass for them. In my opinion the real genius behind the band is Mike. From what I've read he writes/has written most of their music, except lyrics. I could play the bass for them and they'd still rock. As long as they have Mike and Brandon they will always be amazing.
